Alanar Fruit, operating under Toros Agriculture, one of the leading company of Turkey in agricultural production, was audited by GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) and GLOBALGAP certification bodies in line with the “Sustainable Agriculture Principles”. Samples were taken from the products as a result of the audit for GLOBALGAP and Good Agricultural Practices. The findings submitted from the samples taken were evaluated by the certification bodies and reported to the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. As a result of the reporting, Alanar Fruit was entitled to receive GLOBALGAP and Good Agricultural Practices certificates for products in Alanar Fruit’s orchards of Çanakkale Ezine (cherry), Afyonkarahisar Sultandağı (cherry), Antalya Serik (pomegranate) and Manisa Salihli (apricot, plum, pomegranate), in addition, GLOBALGAP certificate for products in group producer orchards of Bursa (fig), İzmir (chestnut), Manisa (chestnut), Aydın (chestnut), Mersin (cherry), Afyonkarahisar (cherry), Konya (cherry), İzmir (cherry), Manisa (cherry), Mersin (cherry) and Malatya (apricot).

Orchards of Alanar Fruit is proud of being entitled to receive certicate by successfully passing the GLOBALGAP audits since 2003 and the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) audits regularly every season since 2010.  Alanar Fruit, which proves its value to human health and the environment with the GLOBALGAP and ITU certifications it receives every year, gives confidence to its business partners in the domestic and foreign markets by creating a safe food chain from orchard to shelf.

Alanar Fruit provides Bursa black fig boost to Darüşşafaka Toros players

Alanar fruit energized the players of Toros Darüşşafaka basketball team with Bursa Black Fig (BSI), which is considered the highest-quality fig in the world. Within the framework of the “Eat Fresh Fruit” campaign, Toros Agri General Manager Emrah Ince and Alanar Fruit team, who visited the training held at Ayhan Şahenk Stadium, distributed Bursa black figs with a very high nutritional value to the team.

Alanar Fruit, which continues its operations within Toros Agri, served Bursa black fig that it exports to the players of the Darüşşafaka Toros basketball team who trained in the Ayhan Şahenk Stadium. Alanar Fruit Bursa-Iznik Plant, which observes the Hygiene, Infection Prevention and Control Guide published for industrial organizations by the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE), was awarded the ‘TSE Covid-19 Safe Production Certificate’ and once again proved the reliability of its products. Bursa Black Fig, which has proven its reliability and has come to be known as the highest-quality black fig in the world, provided players with an extra boost of energy during training due to its high nutritional value. In the event held for the “Eat Fresh Fruit” campaign, Darüşşafaka Toros Basketball Team Head Coach Selçuk Ernak said the team has for years felt the support of the Toros Group, adding: “Darüşşafaka team has long been able to stand on its feet thanks to the support of the Toros Group. Alanar Fruit the first company in its sector to be awarded TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate

Taking all possible measures since the day the COVID-19 pandemic started, Alanar Fruit have fully implemented these measures to prevent any negative situations related to the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers and business partners. As a result of the company’s commitment, Alanar Fruit Adana Agripark R&D Center, where infection prevention and control procedures determined by TSE are fully implemented, was awarded the “TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate”.

Alanar Fruit, one of Turkey’s leading companies in agricultural production, has completely fulfilled all measures since the first moment of the Coronavirus outbreak in our country, preventing the negative impact that might have occurred on the health and wellbeing of its employees, customers and business partners. Alanar Fruit Adana Agripark R&D Center was selected as a pilot plant and an application was made to for the “COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate” of the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) in order to determine, evaluate and control the competence of the measures taken by the company. The plant was thoroughly audited by TSE Auditors on a host of areas, including contact tracing and surveillance phases, greenhouses, laboratories, manufacturing process areas, pandemic trainings, locker rooms, traceability programs in cafeterias and service vehicles, administrative building offices, home-office practices, cleaning, sterilization and sanitation plans, waste management, as well as the control of measures taken by service providers.

Adana Agripark R&D Center, where infection prevention and control procedures determined by TSE are fully implemented, was awarded the “TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate” without any irregularities and no additional time request. In accordance with the notification of TSE officials, Alanar Fruit is now only the 86th company in Turkey to be awarded the certificate. In the agricultural sector, Alanar Fruit is the first company to have the certificate, setting an example for all other companies in the sector.

Alanar Fruit, a Toros Agri entity, having introduced Bursa black fig to worldwide consumers and become the leading exporter for the last 3 years, found the solution to expand black fig supply to the whole year in the Southern Hemisphere. The company, which is one of the most prestigious fruit producers of Peru, will start producing black figs for Alanar. The cooperation between two companies was made official in Fruit Logistica, the fruit fair organized with Berlin with the highest rate of participation throughout the world. Thanks to this agreement, Alanar Fruit will be able to sell black figs to the whole world throughout the year after black fig harvest season is over in Bursa, Turkey.

Toros Holding CEO Murat Gigin, who closely monitors the activities of Toros Agri and who was present in person when the agreement was signed, emphasized the leading position of Alanar Fruit in its segment and stated “Thanks to this agreement, we will strengthen our leadership by increasing our supply period from 120 days to 365 days for global markets.” Gigin, reminding that the company exported more than 2 thousand tons of fresh figs to Europe, Far East, Middle East, North America, and Europe, indicated that the seasonal vacancy was eliminated, and an important competitive edge was gained thanks to the agreement made with the Peruvian company.

Toros Agri General Manager Emrah İnce stated that they were open to seizing every global opportunity for all fresh fruit varieties that the company produced and sold, and expressed “Today, we have signed an agreement that will reinforce our black fig exports from Turkey by 20%. We may enter into similar agreements for different products at different parts of the world.”

At the 2018 Export Champions Award Ceremony organized by Uludağ Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Union (UYMSİB) in Bursa; Alanar Fruit, a Toros Agri subsidiary, has received the 2^nd place in 2018 Fresh Fruit Exports. Hamdi Taner, Deputy General Director of Alanar Fruit, has received the award together with his team during the night as the companies that had successful performances in export in 2018 were rewarded and stated that they achieved a significant success in fresh fruit export in 2018. Taner said: “As Alanar Fruit, we realized our export turnover in the amount of 23 million USD last year. We have achieved this success especially with cherry and black fig exports. Our success is one of the most important indicators of our country’s position in fresh fruit export. ”

We export fresh fruit to countries such as Germany and Singapore

Hamdi Taner stated that they have exported to a very wide area in 2018 and added: “We export fruits to more than 30 countries in different continents including European countries such as Germany, England and Far East countries such as Hong Kong and Singapore. We export fresh fruit such as cherries, figs, apricots, pomegranates or chestnut all cultivated within Turkey to these countries”.
